Solveson Builders is a design-build general contractor serving Grand Junction, Mesa County, and Western Colorado. We specialize in new construction, residential remodeling, custom carpentry, exterior transformations, additions, outdoor living spaces, and multifamily design-build planning.

Our work is built around one simple belief: great construction starts with great planning. Before the first cut, pour, frame, or finish, we take the time to understand the property, the design goals, the budget, and the long-term value of the project. From there, we help guide the process from concept to completion with clear communication, practical construction knowledge, and quality craftsmanship.

Solveson Builders is led by Eric Solveson, a licensed general contractor in Mesa County and Grand Junction. Eric’s background in construction is rooted in generations of hands-on building, real estate, and property improvement. His family has been involved in the construction industry since the 1950s. His grandfather founded Solveson Crane Rental, his uncle runs Hammercraft Construction in San Francisco, his father owned rental properties in the Quad Cities, and his mother worked as a realtor. Growing up around construction, repairs, rental properties, and real estate gave Eric an early understanding of what it takes to build, maintain, and improve lasting spaces.

Eric later gained field experience with Davidson Construction in Boulder, Colorado, helping build custom homes, and then worked with Rothschild and Downes, where he served as a lead tenant coordinator on projects including Denver’s 16th Street Mall. That background gave him experience across both residential and commercial construction environments — from detailed finish work to larger coordinated projects involving owners, trades, schedules, and budgets.

Today, Solveson Builders brings that experience to homeowners, property owners, and investors across Western Colorado. Whether we are remodeling a bathroom, building custom cabinetry, improving an exterior, creating an outdoor living space, planning an addition, or helping evaluate a multifamily opportunity, our goal remains the same: plan carefully, build correctly, communicate clearly, and create lasting value.
