Custom cabinetry set the direction
Solveson Builders designed the cabinetry in house and had it made locally from maple. The wood’s natural grain gives the kitchen its warmth, with dark hardware defining the cabinet fronts and open display storage integrated into the design.
Designing the cabinetry as part of the room allowed the storage, appliance openings and visible woodwork to be considered together.
A continuous surface at the cooking area
Quartz runs across the countertops and up the backsplash. This consistent surface connects the cooking area to the surrounding cabinetry and gives the natural maple a quiet backdrop.
A Thermador range is paired with a pop-up retractable hood ventilation system. The retractable arrangement keeps the overhead view focused on the cabinetry and finishes.
